i'd cross a battlefield, the universe, to shift my life into reverse to make up for the time we missed. i think about the songs we sang- our favorite lines, our favorite bands- and it makes me sad, to comprehend that things don't last. things don't last.

no cares about us or what we're gonna do, so let's keep fucking up and doing wrong until everything is right. my friends are always here, my family's by my side. there is nothing wrong, the sun is up, and i feel fine.
my lovelife is sad. girls seem to come and go. i give them everything i've got, but our feelings just get old. it's a modern day and age. romance on a facbeook page. there is nothing wrong, the sun is up, and i feel fine.
so let's just say things with us just "never meant". just like the song- the words will stay true, but i'll move on.

is anybody else bored or is the same routine too fun to look for something else? because the sun is losing brightness, it's a disease let's fight this- let's dream our days and nights away.
all my friends at college say they found a better life- come home with zero dollars and SUNY on their minds. they say, "there's nothing to do around here, there's the mall and you know it sucks". their personalities tasteless,
brains turned to mush.
to be fair and frankly honest, this place ain't very nice. the streets are all polluted and far from paradise, but i know that it's like that everywhere.
is anyone still listening? or am i talking to a wall? because i'm sick of the complaining. the mindless act of stating that there's nothing to do nothing to do at all.
this is my home, so leave it alone.

i lost my mind again today, but i know where to find it... just gotta find the time to get there. i finish the words and hit delete- i'm right back where i started... alone with you in a crowded room, but i can't play this time...
if you find a better way to better days, be my guest i won't stand in your way. if you find a better way, you're in a better place because i confess i'm letting go again. because i know i can't stay.

i'm driving home real late, the radio's delayed... i'll be home in an hour. lost in my thoughts, i forgot where i was... i've lost all my power. what happened to the day? its redundant to say... i've wasted another, but life just moves on whether we sing its song... until it takes us under.
so what do you say to a family who wants to see your work and you've got nothing to show them? (your bank accounts a joke) no one cares about artwork or how well you can speak. the tv talks in modern slang, our brains go weak.
and they keep laughing at... us.
"ha! ha!"

did you hear the earth dying? some people say it's fake. some people say it's jesus, but some people say he's fake. the world is an opinion lies built on other lies- faulty foundations molding our lives.
so why waste time feeling any pain from someone else's empty words that feels the same? we're hurting each other, "no pain without gain", turning into robots forgetting our names... but here i am, muscle and blood- got everything i want- so feel free to judge.
